We are a citizen-led movement of people who love pets and want Bertie County to be fairer and kinder for our furry friends. We do not provide hands-on animal care (although if that interests you, we can connect you with another group that needs that!).
Instead, we seek to change the hearts and minds of the citizens of Bertie County. We know that improving companion animals’ lives starts with changing humans’ hearts and minds.

We need funding for our pet-centric programs and volunteers to help us get done all the important things that will help us manifest all of these dreams we have for local companion animals.
Support us with donations
We love and appreciate the financial donors who make our community outreach programs possible. Without your help, we would not be on this journey.
Financial donations can go towards:
- Sponsoring the F2S initiative
- Stocking the Pet Pantry
- Community outreach and education
- General donations to allow us to operate.
You can apply your funds as you please, or let us be good stewards of your funding and put it where it will make the most immediate impact.

If you’d like to help us in a meaningful hands-on way, we have several volunteer opportunities that could utilize your talents and any particular interests you may express.
