NC SPAN Presentation to the Bertie Board of Commissioners:

Companion Animal Advocates of Bertie (CAABertie) will present information and request the commissioners consider joining the NC SPAN (spay and neuter) program. We will provide a fact sheet for the commissioners, media, and general public; the NC SPAN presentation will explain the following:

• NC SPAN program’s benefits.
• A (very) brief overview of program history across NC.
• How the State of North Carolina funds the program.
• Bertie County participation requirements.
• Which low-income residents can receive this assistance to spay and neuter their pets.
• DHHS’s role in distributing vouchers to their clients.

  We will present this information at the monthly work session.
