Children’s Page

The children’s page of Companion Animal Advocates of Bertie (CAABertie) contains free instant downloads of our self-published ebooks, coloring sheets, games, and more. We designed each one to educate children on kindness to companion animals.

The CAABertie team understands the reality–the key to releasing a culture of kindness and responsible behaviors for companion animals in Bertie County is a long game. We will not see instant results.

Today’s Children Are Tomorrow’s Bertie County Leaders

However, we will continue to connect to families within the community. That’s because creating a kinder Bertie County for pets will be the responsibility of those who come behind us.

  • Younger children: Most of our resources on this page address younger children ages twelve and under. We encourage teachers, parents, grandparents, coaches, older siblings, or anyone else to share these resources freely. They are our gift to you.
  • Older children: We have volunteer opportunities for teens who want to learn more about advocacy and civic engagement. The skills learned with CAABertie will transfer to other areas of interest. No hands-on with animals is necessary. Instead, we need community ambassadors to staff our table at events, social media helpers, pet pantry stewards, and more! We would love to hear from you.
